Super special ceiling light by Preben Dal for Hans Følsgaard, Denmark 1960s.
HF Følsgaard and especially Preben Dal are synonymous with high-end quality built and timeless, contemporary design.
This giant pendant was a special assignment for a special client and very few was ever produced in the early 1960s in Denmark.
It was quite unsual to make small productions but nevertheless all major lighting companies did so back in the days.
So finding one of these is like hitting the jackpot.
Using acrylic is something we have never seen in a Følsgaard production before and is probably used to keep the weight low.
Small solid brass sticks in various length and brushed aluminum lamellaes with different width all combined with porcelain bulb holder makes this an unusual and original beauty.
Close to mint condition. With factory labels inside. Please see close ups.
Light source: E27 / E26 edison screw fitting max 200W. Comes with new white cord.
