A really special brass floor lamp made by Arno Leuchten, Berlin Germany 1950s. The original manufactors label is still attached underneath the base.
Arno Leuchten or Arno Lichthaus made high quality built lighting fixtures, however besides that, Arno Leuchten has been one of Berlins top prestigious lighting boutiques since 1927.
Minimalistic, modernistic and elegant and yet very sophisticated built when looking close. The curved rod which holds the shade is a good example of that.
All lines are off center and tilted which makes it sculptural in it’s own mild way since the lines are thin and delicate.
Because of the way it’s constructed the positions are countless. Due to the joint fixture close to the shade light can be distributed both up- and downwards.
Excellent condition where only close up inspections reveales small tiny chips to the black lacquered decorative ball.
Light source: E27 / E26 edison screw fitting max 75W. Has been rewired but kept the original attached switch.
