Collectable design icon purple Nesso table lamp by Giancarlo Mattioli for Artemide 1965.

€1,945.00
Only 1 available

Only seen this very special Nesso model at MoMa New York and on few occasions on-line.

It was designed by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nouva in 1964 for Artemide Italy.

This purple fiberglass version was apparently given as a promotion gift after the award winning show at concorso Studie Artemide / Domus Milan 1965. We presume that it was made in an extremely low number.

Considering that this stunning piece is close to 60 years the condition is very good. It has it flaws and blemishes mainly on the base with scratches and rough surface (please see close ups). Normally we see fiberglass “plague” on old pieces which is not the occasion here.

Light source : four E14 edison screw fitting. Bulbs are included. All wiring has been renewed for safety reasons and the original attached switch has been installed. If you are in USA we can provide you with a US standard plug.

Size: 53cm / 21” wide and 33cm / 13” high.
